Underwater in Cape Verde : About Us

Established in Nov 2008 Underwater Cape Verde’s purpose built center is located within the Praiamar Hotel complex. With all our training facilities located on site, we teach a variety of courses from beginner to PADI Dive professional. We also cater for qualified divers looking for fun dives as we run daily dive trips.

Our centre boasts excellent facilities: Our brand new Bauer compressor will fill cylinders to 220 bar and is regularly serviced and maintained. All filters are changed regularly to ensure that our fills are of good safe air. With 30 full sets of new equipment in our school and our own classroom onsite learning is easy and fun. Our shop is well stocked with a variety of diving accessories and our outdoor area is the perfect place to relax after a dive or two.

Our 3m deep pool is ideal for confined water training and is located a stone’s throw away, at aprox 30 metres from the centre. Access to the open water is also made easy via our pier in front of the centre and our brand new 8m fiberglass boat soon runs us around a variety of great dive sites.
