Advanced Open Water Diver:
The Advanced Open Water Diver is the ideal way to enhance your existing scuba skills with an instructor and also learning new skills related to different spheres of diving while experiencing new diving adventures. During this course you will improve upon skills you have already acquired by completing five adventure dives which include:
- Underwater Navigation
- Deep Diving
- 3 Adventure dives of your choice
During this course you will learn about the physiological aspects of deep diving and special considerations that planning deep dives require, you will learn different ways of using underwater compasses, how to navigate underwater using a variety of techniques plus many other skills depending on your choice of adventure dives. This course will not only certify you to dive in deeper waters (typically between 18-30 m), thus increasing the number of dive sites you’ll be able to enjoy, but it will also increase your confidence and abilities in the water, overall making you a better diver.
Usually run over 2 or 3 days depending on logistics of adventure dives chosen.Prerequisites:
In order to take the Advanced Open Water Diver course you must be
- A PADI Open Water Diver or have a qualifying certification from another organization
- Minimum age 15 years old for Advanced Open Water Diver and 12 years old for Junior Advanced Open Water Diver.
